Ratio Code Consultants Ltd (RCC) is registered with Engineers & Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and was established in 2022. RCC provides expert advice and professional Code Consulting services in British Columbia, Canada specializing in two primary services: Building Code Consulting and Fire Code Consulting.
Modern synonyms of the word "Ratio" include logic, relation, proportion, share, part, etc. Similar to the right combination of elements to generate a flame, the successful application of Building and Fire Codes requires experience and expertise to navigate the logic of requirements.
Ratio Code Consulting is a critical part in delivering a proportional combination of conventional and innovative support required to achieve the visions of our clients.
Our Goals
We have three simple goals and one philosophy to meet the goals:

2. Provide a professional service our clients will remember.
3. Be the go to Code Consulting team our clients can rely on.
To meet the above goals our philosophy is that we set public safety as our top priority. Our approach is to develop solutions that meet the vision of our clients while incorporating straight forward or outside of the box ways to apply the safety measures prescribed by Code requirements.
The RCC Team
RCC is currently operated by two Principals, Joe Krevs and Henning White. Together the firm offers a combined 36 years of Code consulting experience in the application of Building and Fire Codes. In addition to operating RCC the Principals are also active members in the local Code Consulting industry.
Joe Krevs
Joe is a Fire Protection Technologist and a Registered Building Official (RBO) with the Building Officials Association of BC (BOABC). He has over 16 years’ experience as a Code Consultant in the private sector and Building Official with two metro Vancouver municipalities. He specializes in Part 3 of the BC Building Code, Vancouver Building Bylaw as well as the upgrade triggers of the Vancouver Building Bylaw. Joe has reviewed and prepared numerous code reports and alternative solutions for assembly, residential, institutional and industrial occupancies. Joe currently sits on the Building Code Interpretation Committee and successfully completed the Certified Professional program in May of 2022.
Henning White
Henning is registered as a Professional Licensee Engineering (P.L. Eng) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and he is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) which is an internationally recognized designation offered by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Henning has been applying innovative approaches and solutions in the application of Building and Fire Codes for 20 years (6 years in Ontario and 14 years in BC). He has led Code consulting services on a variety of residential and commercial mixed-use developments, daycare to post-secondary projects, industrial and institutional projects. Henning currently serves as Vice President on the executive committee of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers BC Chapter.
